Alex Parkinson



Alex is an experienced Fixer Mason, with years of professional work on stone houses and new stone builds. During his time at Lincoln Castle, he worked across many of the Lincolnshire County Council Heritage Sites providing specialist conservation & restoration work at locations including The Collection and Lincolnshire Life Museum.

is run as a partnership by

Andy Doughty and Alex Parkinson.

We met working at Lincoln Castle

and made the decision to go

independent in 2006.

 

Andy Doughty



Andrew worked at Lincoln Cathedral for five years, gaining his Level Three qualifications in stonemasonry as a Banker Mason. He then moved to Lincoln Castle to continue working as a Fixer Mason. In this time he gained a wide spectrum of knowledge in all aspects of the trade including:

  1. • Quarrying stone,

  2. • Sawing stone,

  3. • Working stone,

  4. • Fixing stone

  5. • Restoration & Conservation

Andy has worked extensively on restoration and conservation projects throughout the Lincoln area.
